Multi-functional custom joinery for practical family living

Design Brief:
The client requested a storage solution for school bags, books, and other items for their three young children. While they initially considered a freestanding unit, the space next to the kitchen provided an ideal opportunity for custom joinery. The bench seat doubles as extra seating for the dining area and a cozy sitting nook. The three large drawers offer ample storage, and the handle detail along with the upholstered cushion make a striking statement both functionally and aesthetically.
Additionally, I collaborated with the clients to select pieces for their lounge area, aiming to modernise the space and create a cohesive look.
